We follow with a short survey (video call or in person for larger homes) and then send an itemised written quote — that written quote, not the first phone number, is the price you can hold us to.
Why do you say 'no booking advance'?
Advance-payment fraud is the single most common scam in Indian packers-and-movers: a low quote, a collected 'booking amount', and then no truck. Our policy is that payment follows the written quote's terms — so you are never paying for a promise before the work exists.
Which cities does Shiftify serve?
Our seeded service areas are Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai and Bengaluru, including intercity corridors between them. Through our vetted partner network we can coordinate moves to most major Indian cities — ask on WhatsApp and we'll confirm coverage for your route honestly.
How is the final price different from the first quote?
The written quote after survey is the firm price for the agreed scope. The only legitimate changes are scope changes you request (extra items, changed dates, added services) — and those are repriced in writing before the work, never after the bill.
Is my household insured during the move?
Transit insurance on declared value is offered with every intercity move and available for local moves, with the coverage terms, exclusions and claims process explained in writing before you confirm. We never use the word 'insured' as a vague comfort word — you see the terms.
Can I track my consignment during an intercity move?
You get a dedicated move coordinator's number and proactive updates at each milestone: loaded, first halt, state line, and out for delivery. The goal is that you never need to chase us for a status.
