- Society move-in/move-out NOC and deposits. Most Mumbai co-operative housing societies require a move NOC from the society office or managing committee — typically applied for 3–7 days ahead — along with a refundable deposit against common-area damage. High-rise towers additionally book the service lift. Moving without the NOC can stall a truck at the gate for hours.
- Permitted move hours. Many societies restrict shifting work to a window like 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on working days, with Sundays varying by association. Buildings near hospitals or schools sometimes add their own limits. The society's window decides the crew call time — we confirm it before fixing your date.
- Old-building realities: small lifts and walk-ups. South Mumbai's older buildings — Fort, Dadar, Girgaum, Bandra's older blocks — often have small passenger lifts or none. Standard practice is stair carry for regular items and, for oversized furniture, an external rope/pulley or furniture lift where the facade and society allow it.
